Custom Subdomains: Your Brand, Your URL

By default, your Sayify forms live at yourworkspace.sayify.pro. That works fine for internal use, but when you are sending feedback forms to customers, a custom subdomain like feedback.yourcompany.com looks more professional and builds more trust.

This guide shows you how to set up a custom subdomain for your Sayify workspace.

What a Custom Subdomain Does

With a custom subdomain:

• Your form URL becomes feedback.yourcompany.com/form-name instead of yourworkspace.sayify.pro/form-name
• The URL bar shows your domain, reinforcing brand trust
• Respondents who check the URL before filling out a form see your company name

Everything else stays the same. Your forms, branding, integrations, and analytics all work exactly as before.

How to Set It Up

Step 1: Choose Your Subdomain

Pick a subdomain that makes sense for your use case:

Step 2: Add DNS Records

Go to your domain registrar or DNS provider and add a CNAME record:

DNS propagation typically takes 15 minutes to a few hours.

Step 3: Configure in Sayify

1. Go to Workspace Settings > Custom Domain
2. Enter your subdomain (for example, feedback.yourcompany.com)
3. Click Verify
4. Sayify checks the DNS record and confirms the connection
5. SSL is automatically provisioned (HTTPS works out of the box)

Step 4: Done

All your existing form links continue to work at the old URL. The custom subdomain works as an additional URL. Respondents can access the form at either address.

SSL and Security

Sayify automatically provisions a free SSL certificate for your custom subdomain. This means:

• All form pages are served over HTTPS
• The green lock icon appears in the browser
• Data in transit is encrypted
• No manual SSL setup required

Multiple Subdomains

If you have multiple use cases, you can set up multiple subdomains pointing to the same workspace:

• feedback.yourcompany.com for customer feedback
• hr.yourcompany.com for employee surveys
• research.yourcompany.com for UX research forms

Each subdomain resolves to the same Sayify workspace, so all your forms, branding, and integrations stay unified.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy a new domain?

No. You use a subdomain of your existing domain. If you own yourcompany.com, you can create feedback.yourcompany.com without buying anything extra.

Can I use a root domain instead of a subdomain?

Custom domains are subdomain-only (for example, feedback.yourcompany.com). Root domains (for example, yourcompany.com) are not supported because they typically host your main website.

What happens to my old sayify.pro URLs?

They continue to work. The custom subdomain is an alias, not a replacement.

How long does SSL take to activate?

SSL is provisioned within a few minutes after DNS verification succeeds.

Can I remove the custom subdomain later?

Yes. Remove the CNAME record from your DNS and disable the custom domain in Workspace Settings. Your forms revert to the default sayify.pro URL.
